A craft biz could do well by "word of mouth". In that case, an affiliate program would take the cake. O.K., who has implemented an affiliate program and how successful is it?
Affiliate programs can only be successful if word actually gets out and by the ‘word of mouth’ people tell people that it’s a easy way to make money. Offering a generous commission will also help. It does finally require a lot of patience and won’t kick off over night
You can try an affiliate program but you need to use affiliate tracking software which can be very costly. If you don't get too many affiliate sales, you will be paying more for affiliate software compared to revenue generated.
I have not done it before. I have always had issues with tracking how the sales go. So, it is always a bit of a challenge for me as well. I will look into that this 2023.
