Choosing a Domain Name for Your Crafting Business

A lot of people say that in the USA, the best extension to choose is .com due to memory value. Also, the name shouldn't be too long and not having a dash. What do you consider a good name?

I think a name should fit the type of crafts one does in a nutshell. Some good names would include the words Craft, Art, Create.
I had dabbled in starting a business for my natural lotion balms & lipglosses.

The name should explain your business and also be easy to type and remember. I think it’s important to pick a TLD that is coming like .com or maybe the country you operate it.

CraftyCrafter maybe? Literally spent 5 straight minutes thinking of that one. Haven’t checked domain availability but either way, I’d go for these extensions in order. If the first isn’t available, go to the next

1. .com
2. .net
3. .org
4. .co
5. co. (country code)
3. .org

Ever since I have been using the Internet, I come across a couple domain that ends with weird ending but most of them are the .com, .net, and .org. They are more like the one's I'm more comfortable around. I never liked the .co.za domain. It looks horrible to me.

Your domain name should reflect the name of your business, and I think either having a .com or even a .org domain name would be fine. Sure .com is the most popular tld and many corporations use it. You could purchase a .co domain as well, though these domains are more expensive than .com.

If you are trying to sell just in your country, you can try country domain such as dot us for the United States, dot co.uk for the UK. If you want to sell globally you can try dot com (because it is most popular) or dot store, dot online, or even dot shop.
