What's the best hosting for an e-commerce forum?

A friend of mine is looking at setting up an e-commerce website but he's confused on which kind of hosting to make use.

I would very much appreciate any recommendations you all can provide for me here.
Thanks.

I’d recommend at least a VPS package. I’d suggest using Namecheap, or if you’re starting out - try USHost247. USHost247 offer affordable shares hosting plans starting from 5$ a month.

A VPS would be more ideal, due to the resources the server would be using running the script and crons.

Shared hosting can be good if you are just starting because you can start as low as $2 per month. Since you dopn't have traffic and customers, you do not have to use expensive services such as VPS or Dedicated Servers. You can gradually upgrade your hosting.

I later recommended Namecheap to my friend and he decided to give it a go. He's been very satisfied with their hosting services and also being the fact that it's cheaper than any other alternative when compared to their quality of services.
