Work Method

Do you prefer to work clay with your hands or with a wheel? I took a class in middle school, where we worked everything by hand. Throwing, cutting, molding, sculpting. You name it we did it by hand, so for me this is the only method I know. What is your method and why or why not?

I haven't done this too much except in school but I preferred working by hand. I find I have more control over it. I literally can "feel" what's going on. That is true for other things I've done where most would wear gloves. This will sound zen lol but if you view what you are working on as an extension of your body, you'll find you don't have to fight it as much.
