Working for your family?

There's this conception some people have that whenever you're working for your family, they don't seem to give their all because no one would question their contribution in the family's business.

But in my case, that's not the case because you won't have a moment of rest or peace in your life whenever you're underperforming in the family's business. What's your take on working for your family?

Family members should give their all to ensure that the family business becomes a successful one. I am yet to understand the reason some will want to work in a family business without pushing to give their all for the business.

When my father wanted to start a dairy business, I not only helped him with money but even helped him by working on the dairy farm. You should be very supportive of your family. You should be respectful of your family and always help your family members.

I wouldn't be able to work for/with family because if there's a melt down in the work or personal life it will affect one another.

You'd have to definitely have a relationship that is civil before even thinking about this venture. Rules have to be made, outlined, so people know what is expected, when it's expected & for each to remember they need to do their own parts for this business to be a success.

This is exactly the point! Business is business and family is family. So, setting out the plans that should be followed is very important in all of these when planning on doing family business.
